The beauty of a fabric depends upon the quality of raw material used and the overall finish obtained. Natural fibres contain waxy elements that protects them from atmospheric agents, however, during processing these substances are removed and so it is then necessary to replace them. Synthetic fibres also need to be waxed.

Another delicate phase is finishing - the waxing of threads for instance- whre waxes play a major role in the production cycle and make it possible to obtain fabrics that are soft but also flexible and thus more tear-resistant.
